Day 136: Decision Made

Hello friends!! I’ve made my decision and I am scheduled to have gastroc PERCs on November 20th. The surgeon will make an incision about one inch on both inner calves where the gastroc muscle resides. He will then feather the tissue that holds the muscle in place. This will allow for a stretch within that muscle chain impacting the hamstrings and tendon.  The goal is that the right heal will finally touch the ground and both sides would be able to flex better. I’ll gain 20 degrees of motion on the operating table. It will be my job to keep it stretched. This will also help with balance.

Will you pray for the following:

-wisdom in my decision

-insurance coverage

-wisdom for the doctors

-a good night sleep for the surgeon

-peace in all the things

-a strong mind to remember that we don't fight against flesh and blood

•  that this would be an opportunity to share the Gospel with others

• strength in the recovery (this time I go back to work after a week and a half)
