Social Media Updates: (Written by mom)
11:15 am I just talked to the surgeon, and he said everything went very well. I will see her in 30 minutes.
12:45 pm Sarah has been moved to ICU as a regular precaution. The surgeon cut 70% of the nerves in her right side only. Praise the Lord! They are watching her for 24 hours. She has actually been up already. Jesus is faithful!
(my post from ICU)
“We can still change our minds. I can cancel surgery and we can just go back home.”
I say this to mom as I’m lying in bed this morning.
She says, “lie still and listen….
But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”
(Isaiah 43:1-3)
I immediately got out of bed.
I’m lying in ICU with surgery behind me. Thankful for my mother, and the Word that settles my soul.
